First route : VOGÜÉ to RUOMS - 18 km - 4h30
Departing from the old village of Vogüé, plan on about 4½ hours of paddling (not including breaks!).
This route is wonderfully picturesque, with its bridges and ever-changing scenery. You’ll glide along at your own pace, enjoying the pebble beaches, diving spots, the beautiful surroundings, and the tranquil Ardèche River.
Be sure to bring a picnic for an unforgettable day.
Second route : BALAZUC to RUOMS - 14 km - 3h30
Come and discover Balazuc, named one of “the most beautiful villages in France”, from your canoe. You should expect about 3½ hours of paddling (not counting breaks!).
This is a very pleasant, family-friendly route that’s accessible to everyone. Pack a picnic and plan for swimming stops.
It’s the perfect choice for a family day out: get a bit of exercise while taking in magnificent scenery!
Third route : BALAZUC/pradons - 8 km - 2h00
This route is suitable for beginners and families with children. Discover the village of Balazuc and take a break at Viel Audon, nestled at the entrance to the Ardèche Gorges, below limestone cliffs where, for over 20 years, an association has been restoring this once-ruined hamlet.
Continuing toward Pradons, just upstream from the Chauzon Bridge, you’ll see a remarkable dovecote built into the cliff, before reaching the beach at your final stop. Remember to bring a picnic for a pleasant day on the water.
Plan on about 2 hours of paddling (not counting breaks) to complete this route.
Fourth parcours : PRADONS/RUOMS - 6 km - 1h30
A short trip of about 1½ hours of paddling, departing from Pradons.
You can make this descent any time between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., with a return scheduled before 6:00 p.m.
It’s perfect for beginners, families, and anyone who doesn’t want to leave the Ardèche without trying canoeing.
The route follows a canyon, Cirque de Gens, and ends with the Ruoms gorges. It’s a brief trip down the Ardèche, ideal for those short on time or looking for a first experience in a canoe!
